Audio guestbook at a wedding: a practical idea for your guests

At many weddings the guestbook sits on a small table by the entrance, with a pen tied to it. The first pages fill up, then people walk past. An audio guestbook changes the gesture: instead of writing, the guest picks up a handset and talks.
Why it works better than a pen
Not every guest feels like writing, but almost everyone can say two sentences. A retro phone catches the eye and makes people curious. Guests come over in groups, egg each other on, and the messages turn out longer and more personal than a hurried "Best wishes" scribbled in a book.
For the couple, the payoff comes after the wedding: you hear the voices, the laughter and the emotion, not just the words.
Where to put the phone
Pick a dedicated spot that is easy to find and a little quieter than the dance floor. By the entrance or near the bar are good options, because everyone passes by. We set up the phone and leave printed instructions next to it.
What to say in the greeting message
The guest hears your voice first. Keep the message short and tell them what you would like, for example: "Welcome, dear friends. Say your name and leave us a few words after the beep." Send us the .mp3 recording at least 3 days before the wedding; a WhatsApp voice message works too.
How many hours to choose
Packages are 2, 4 and 6 hours: 175 €, 250 € and 400 €. Choose by how long you want the phone available to guests. If the party runs late, each extra hour costs 75 €.
What you keep after the wedding
All the messages, on a USB stick, at the end of the rental or within 1-5 working days. No limit on messages.
All the details about the retro wedding phone are on the wedding audio guestbook page. If you already have a date, you can check availability.
